A small circle-cutting unit in 1983, a name South India came to trust as Mahendra Metal Corporation, and four decades of keeping one's word — that's the story behind Khianox Steel.

It started in 1983, when Mr. Rajkumar Ghewarchand Jain opened a small circle-cutting unit in Chennai — arriving, by his own account, with nothing but big dreams. He had spotted what others missed: a fast-growing South Indian manufacturing base that couldn't get stainless steel supplied reliably or honestly. So he began supplying it himself, one consignment at a time.

In 1999 that workshop grew into a full-scale stainless steel stockist and supplier under the name Mahendra Metal Corporation — the name South Indian fabricators came to trust over the next two decades. Today the business turns over ₹100 crore a year, supplying over 1,000 tonnes of stainless steel to 500+ MSMEs and manufacturers across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

A little over a year ago, Mahendra Metal Corporation was rebranded as Khianox Steel — a new name for the same family, the same people and the same word-is-bond way of doing business: the right grade, fairly weighed, on time.

And it was never built alone. Mr. Muralidhar Nagar has stood beside Rajkumar since the early days — where Rajkumar built the vision and the mill relationships, Muralidhar built trust on the ground: the customer relationships and the daily discipline of making sure every order ships correct and on time.
